wait, aren't they already married?...
ON May 9th 2016...
In Sunset Park, 8 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, in the presence of God, Angela's parents and sister, David's Aunt and Uncle, and a British minister from the "Wedding Wagon", Angela and David promised to love and take care of each other for the rest of their lives. Standing on one leg, in high heals, Angela looked into David's eyes, and although scary things were ahead for them, like her above the knee amputation, she knew that with God and David she could face anything. David held Angela's hands tight, partly because he always held her hands and would always hold her hands, but also to make sure she didn't fall standing on one leg during the ceremony. David knew that this was the beginning of the rest of his happy life and the start of an amazing family.
The wedding was short and sweet, only taking about five minutes from the welcome to the kiss, but Angela appreciated that, and sat down in her chair after hugging and kissing her new husband and sharing congratulatory hugs from her parents and family.
That night Angela's parents took the newlyweds and Angela's sister, to Guy Fiers restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip. Then the group visited the Bellagio fountain and took in view of the strip's bright lights from the top of the Stratosphere.
The day was wonderful, because that was the day that David and Angela became a family, became one, promised to love each other forever, promised to help and cherish each other forever. But there were things missing.
You were missing, David's and Angela's family and friends. From a young age, like most little girls, Angela dreamed about her wedding. She dreamed of her father walking her down the aisle. The same aisle that her Mom walked down, towards her Dad. She dreamed of her beautiful white wedding dress and her husband standing on the stage waiting for the doors to open to see his beautiful bride. She dreamed of saying I do in front of all of her family and friends.
