Happy Thanksgiving

I'm sitting here with my nephew, Nathan. We are waiting for the yummy food to be done; and we just got done watching the Thanksgiving day parade. Nathan says, "Happy Thanksgiving." Nathan is 4 years old, he loves Paw Patrol, and playing in the rain with his rain coat. When Nathan grows up he wants to be a fireman, like his favorite dog on Paw Patrol, Marshal. Nathan has two brothers, Micah and Isaac. Micah is 15, in high school, and is on the wrestling team. Isaac is Nathan's little brother, he is 2 and loves Sesame Street. Happy Thanksgiving from the Youngers and the Hansens.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have traditions? My brother always has my grandma's Jello Salad at his Thanksgivings, it's one of our family's favorites. I always make my mom's apple pie wherever I go for thanksgiving. When I make my own thanksgiving I love making my grandma's stuffing recipe.

Today we pause and think about all the things we are thankful for. I have so much to be thankful for. My husband, who has helped me through one of the hardest times in my life, who is working so hard to get his bachelors degree, so he can get a good job to take care of us. I am so thankful for the house we live in, in Boston, that was a miraculous find, and has now become our home. I'm excited and thankful for the future, just a week away from getting my prosthetic leg, and learning to walk again. I’m so thankful that my brother and his family moved from Idaho to DC this summer, and it’s only a 9 hour drive from Boston, and I can see my nephews and be here with family on thanksgiving.

So, today is about being thankful, and then Friday comes and everyone goes crazy shopping. Does anyone having any black friday plans. I've never been one to go out and stand in line for the sales, but sometimes I will go to target to see what good things we can find later after all the craziness has settled down. I also like shopping from the comfort of my home, online, in my pajamas usually. This year, let’s make this crazy shopping weekend about GIVING. I'm calling it 'GIVING WEEKEND. GIVE to others, GIVE small businesses a try and GIVE yourself a treat. What better way to give those a try than to visit my online store JOYFUL
#givingweekend I am giving you 10% off your total order, with promo code GIVE10. So, for black friday, small business saturday, stock up sunday and cyber monday shop JOYFUL and save. Get some Christmas gifts, stock up on your Christmas decor and do it from the comfort of your home, all online.

Hope your Thanksgivings are wonderful, full of family and food. I pray that you have lots to be thankful for this year. And that this weekend we remember the other part of Thanksgiving, the "giving" and use this crazy shopping weekend to GIVE to others, small businesses, and a little treat to ourselves.

God Bless!

Angela and Nathan (my nephew)
